There is a wealth of knowledge and history here in Polk County to be appreciated and preserved for our future generations. These memories are being lost, covered up, and destroyed everyday due to the massive equipment that make way for new subdivisions and golf courses. 

    Let’s all come together and preserve our heritage by collaborating all of our old photos, stories and even old tales told or overheard on ol’ granny’s porch.    

   What do you  remember from your childhood here in Polk? The good ol' times and the hardships. Please share your stories and past memories with us so we can preserve, remember, and appreciate what truly made Polk County what it is today.

    In order for this to be a successful mission, we must come together as a community, but more importantly we need to all come together as a family. The Old Polk Family.  Let’s work together to save our treasures. Please!!! Once it’s gone it’s lost forever. 

    Hopefully this will ignite a passion in all of us to save the history and memories from the good ol' days before it’s gone.

   We Must  Save and Preserve ALL  of our old Pictures, Stories, and Heritage. The best part is that it doesn't cost any money to this, just a few minutes of our time.
